Issues Addressed
The following describes the issues addressed by this release.

Paint
· Optimizations in the Paint module resulted in a reduced number of cache flushes. The responsiveness of combustion software is greatly improved when creating brush strokes to reveal/clone large footage (2k).

Player
· The play rate is now stable. As a result, listening to audio while playing a clip is smoother now.

Customizable Brushes
· The file size of custom brushes is now much smaller due to optimizations.
· Using custom brushes in the workspace consumes less memory due to optimizations.
· Saving workspaces with custom brushes is now faster.

Warning: Workspaces with custom brushes saved in combustion 3.0.2 are not compatible with combustion 3 or with combustion 3.0.1. Any attempts to load these workspaces in combustion 3 or combustion 3.0.1 will fail and cause combustion to quit. To save a combustion 3.0.2 workspaces for use in either combustion 3.0.1 or combustion 3, choose File | Preferences in combustion 3.0.2 and enable Save Custom Brush as v.3.0.1 in the Paint category.

RAM Player
· The RAM player now respects the in and out points set in the Timeline.

DV Codec
· Selecting PAL as the output format in the Microsoft DV codec now produces the expected output.
· The last frame is now rendered properly when rendering an AVI with the DV Video Encoder.

Cache
· The cache is no longer flushed when you deselect a particle in the workspace.

Expressions
· Opening workspaces with expressions no longer causes a reference error.

Footage Operator
· When you delete the Footage operator of duplicated layers, only the selected Footage operators are deleted; the Footage operator of the original layer and of all other duplicated layers is not deleted.

Mask Operator
· You can now select a disabled Footage operator as the background source of a Mask operator.

Object Opacity Values
· Opacity decimal values are now kept for Paint and Mask objects. The decimal values are now displayed when you click (once) the Opacity field in the Paint Controls panel (for Paint objects) or the Opacity field in the Mask Controls panel (for Mask objects).

Paint Operator
· The reveal and clone Paint objects no longer disappear from the viewport after adding an Effect to the objects.
· When you reset the transforms of an animated paint object the X, Y coordinates are now reset as expected. They now reset similarly to animated layers.

Particles Operator
· You can now copy and paste a layer containing a Particle operator.
· After creating a particle emitter with the Point Emitter tool, you can now Undo, Redo, Copy, and Paste the particle emitter.

Quick Capture
· You can now cancel out of the DirectShow capture Options panel in the Preferences.

Text Operator
· combustion 2.1.1 workspaces with text objects are now saved properly in combustion 3.0.2.
· Special characters (such as \, /, and ") can now be saved and loaded properly, and the channels using these characters can be now be referenced in expressions.

Third-Party Plug-ins
· You can now animate the keyframes of all the RE:Vision Effects channels in the Timeline.
