1. Версия, демонстрируемая на НАБе - альфа (даже не бета).
2. В июне должна появиться релизная версия - только софтовая. Версия для железок появится чуть позже.
3. Xplode for EDIUS, PCE пока не обновлены. PCE в альфа весию не включен вообще.
4. Экспорта альфы так и нет. Но теперь поддерживается альфа в Canopus HQ кодеке (если сделать альфу в какой-либо внешней проге).
5. Кейфреймы есть пока только в Color Balance модуле. Обещают в апдейтах добавить поддержку кейфреймов и для других фильтров. (В 3D PiP кейфреймы разумеется остались).
6. Track Matte есть ! Сделан как-то хитро:
Hot off the press...matte and track matte support is in 4.0!! They just got it "show-able" today and it is very nice. It is implemented differently than I have seen before and I will reserve on that until I get to play with it more....could be better than say how Ppro does it and it is definitely faster. You do it from the bin and here is how it works. From the bin you select both the clip with alpha or lumna(the matte) and the background clip. Next you rt click and select the new matte option. That will bring up a dialog box with the ability to select whether you want an alpha or lumna key and invert etc. The dialog box has a small preview screen that is scrubbable with a slider. Select render and it makes a clip out of the 2 sources that is ready for the timeline. I think I would like it better if you could do it directly on the timeline but it is very fast. BTW sequences will support alpha if the sequence has it so there are a lot of possibilities open with that.Also you can use the rendered file again and make another matte...great move IMHO and one more hole plugged.
On the mattes I think I used the wrong word when I used showable...the fact is it works. I think what happened is it took the engineer to "help" the U.S. folks working the pods to get it to work so it could be shown.It is not a workaround, just a differnt and faster implementation IMHO...the render is really fast. Instead of a the matte and clip being on the TL it is done in its own dialog and a resulting clip is added. Compared to what we had it is a plus and I fail to see how it could be seen any differently.You should really wait to see the final before it is pooh-poohed

10. Железо - OHCI, Storms (and DVX), Raptor RT2s, NX, SP, SD, HD - поддерживается. RexRT - пока неизвестно.
11. Мультикам (до 8 камер). С возможностью указать максимальное количество dropped frames (для монтажа на слабых компах или для HD).
12. Мультитаймлайн.
13. Триальная демка будет доступна после начала продаж.
14. Никаких новостей по поводу поддержки 64-битных ОС нет.
15. Кейфремы на изменение скорости обещают скоро.
keyframing is there for all the color corerection tools...see above and it is strongly hinted that rampable(keyframeable) speed changes are next. Also it looks like this is just the start and after 4.0 point releases should see more keyframe improvements.
16. Нет маркеров клипов.
17. Нет новых переходов (транзишенов).
18. Не появился шорткат для сдвига клипа на таймлайне на 1 фрейм.

MultiCam looked very good. With the ability to set the frame rate drop that Randy talked about, we played 5 different HDV clips and it worked perfectly. Very smooth. For those that asked about the audio in it, I tested it and the audio will work the same way that any video will work. The CC tools looked MUCH improved and the keyframe ability looked good.
